funding happiness through music
How our grants make a difference
The Sarah Nulty Power of Music Foundation supports individuals and organisations across South Yorkshire who use music to improve people's lives. We recognise the profound impact music can have on physical and mental wellbeing and are proud to support those who share our vision.
We believe that the benefits of music should be accessible to everyone, regardless of their financial circumstances or background. That's why our grants support individuals experiencing hardship and organisations delivering life-changing music projects across Sheffield, Barnsley, Rotherham, Doncaster and the wider South Yorkshire region.
We provide financial support for initiatives, projects and one-off ideas that use music to create positive change, improve wellbeing and bring communities together.
The Foundation welcomes applications that help people experience, participate in or benefit from music in ways that are meaningful to them.

grants might be used to:
Support children and adults to develop their musical talents by funding music lessons, clubs, and live music events.
Fund music therapies and musical experiences for people in the community; through groups supporting children and families experiencing hardship, people with disabilities, asylum seeker and refugee groups and similar.
Sponsor a school’s music room, by purchasing musical instruments and equipment, so children of all backgrounds and abilities can learn to play.
Provide funds for existing charitable groups to provide music-based activities and therapies for the people they support.
