Sarah was happiest when she was making people happy
Sarah was a beloved daughter, sister, aunt, partner, friend to many, the life and soul of the party… how long have you got? Sarah was truly special.
Sarah came to Sheffield in 1999 as a student, and she made it her home. Sheffield and its people, bars and bands became the place which saw her have a remarkable career in the city’s ever-famous music industry.
“I just wanted to have a big party for all my friends.”
Having worked her way up the ranks, starting behind the bar at some of the city’s most iconic nightclubs, Sarah went on to manage venues and events across Sheffield before becoming one of the driving forces behind Tramlines in 2009.
In 2013, Sarah was appointed Festival Director. Always championing new and emerging talent in the music industry, Sarah’s work for Tramlines brought thousands of people to the city each year, putting Sheffield well and truly on the map. Watch the Tramlines team’s tribute to Sarah.
#BEMORENULTY
Sarah had a profound impact on all the lives she touched during her too-short life. Her passion for music brought people together, created opportunities and, ultimately, made people happy.
Every day, we try to #BeMoreNulty through The Power of Music Foundation: finding joy, making people happy, and having fun. This is Sarah’s legacy.
